Owl is a side-project by Valborg vocalist/guitarist Christian Kolf and his outlet for influences ranging from Avantgarde Death Metal to Funeral Doom. And then there's 'Aeon Cult'...
This EP is, without a shadow of a doubt, an overlooked pinnacle of crushing, contemporary Metal. The sheer impact of these three, short songs can only be described as a wall of sound.
We are aware that these terms are all overused, but Owl absolutely raised the bar on this EP. Imagine Godflesh and Meshuggah combining their most pummeling elements and adding dense layers of dissonance for extra discomfort.
And this description still doesn't cut it. Christian's vocal performance is yet another surprise and only adds to the epic nature of these songs.
Owl originally came out with 'Aeon Cult' in 2015 and Total Dissonance Worship is proud to present its long overdue foray into the digital space. Now let Owl crush you!
