Switzerland has one of the most criminally overlooked heavy music scenes and this album is just the perfect example of what outstanding art it has hiding in plain sight.

Let Abraham be your ambassador for Switzerland's underground and they will reward you with the most emotional take on dissonant, heavy music you have likely ever heard.

This is a bold statement, but 'Débris de Mondes Perdus' carries a bleak melancholy within it that will make your skin crawl. There is so much tangible desperation in these songs.

The band's mix of Sludge, Post Metal and Noise Rock is garnished with sometimes more, sometimes less subtle - but always undeniable - dissonant extreme Metal undertones. And the sonic result is soul-crushing.

Songs like 'Blood Moon, New Alliance' or 'Fear Overthrown' make that especially obvious, but wait until you hear the literally warped and twisted 'Maudissements'.

While being the least sonically heavy track of the album, it easily creates the most discomfort. It sounds like varying tape speeds are applied to different instruments at different times and it all makes for a dizzying mindfuck.

Last, but not least, the production of 'Débris de Mondes Perdus' is also an achievement of organic perfection. And if you're not extremely intrigued to grab this by now, you're probably just not prepared to have your expectations shattered.
