fyeahmetal Great Falls really leveled up this year, between this EP and their full-length. The overall presentation is huge and menacing, and I can confirm that this comes across live despite the band just being a trio. The new drummer is a big part of this progression - dig the super-cool weird beats in "Stage Health". I doubt this is in TDW's business plan, but this release would make for an awesome 7", the kind that becomes legendary and sought-after. Favorite track: Stage Health.

Darknight Great Falls are insanely heavy and they are really teasing us with three monster tracks. The one reason I love Great Falls is they always come with something heavier than before, trust me these three songs will cave your head!! Favorite track: Stage Health.

It's always an honor to be able to work with one of your favorite bands - and Great Falls definitely fall right into that category.

Their mix of discordant Noise Rock, Sludge and chaotic Hardcore has an intensity level of 10 out of 10, but with 'Funny What Survives', they are somehow taking it to 11.

There is a metallic savagery to this material that I haven't heard from Great Falls before. Songs like 'Stage Health' just relentlessly pummel you into submission and it hurts so good. The desperately pleading vocal performance only adds to the pain.

The title 'Funny What Survives' may have a cynical ring to it, but make no mistake: This band wears their hearts on their sleeves at all times. And this time, more than ever, it seems like they are filled with unrelenting anger.
