If you're in search of some truly mind-bending, atonal Death Metal, look no further than 'Inside Shells'!

Started in 2017 by Jeanne Artemis Strieder (Coma Cluster Void) and Anthony Lipari (Thoren), Evilyn's initial goal was to craft a rather old school Death Metal record, but with more dissonance than the genre typically has to offer.

Although Jeanne had to step back from a more active position in the project, the material took a life of its own over time and turned out a lot more twisted than expected.

The result is a release that constantly pushes the envelope uncomfortably close to its breaking point, but without ever becoming unlistenable. It's a balancing act that Evilyn have mastered already, despite 'Inside Shells' being the project's debut release.

The drums were recorded by no other than Lee Fisher (Fawn Limbs), so needless to say that everyone involved in Evelyn is a force to be reckoned with. These 5 songs are a testament to that.
