Dmitry Nevozhay Set of 2 EP with brilliant disso death, FFO: Ulcerate, Zhrine, Sunless, Departe... And so excellent band name šŸ˜ Favorite track: The Circle is Open to All. Ascend and Rejoice!.
Dan Curhan

Dan Curhan A stellar dissoblack album filled with razor-sharp atmospheres, mature and well-developed compositions, and impeccable production. Blastbeats seethe beneath shimmering, squawking, clanking guitars. Vocals bolster from behind, especially strong during moments of more conventional harmonic motion. Subtle keyboard layers enrich the soundscape, and the entire album is shrouded in despair and haunting tonalities. Really excellent!
Ippocalyptica

Ippocalyptica I have been longing for new Gorguts and especially new Zhrine for years now, though at least Plebeian Grandstand quenched our thirst for them last year with their mind-destroying Rien Ne Suffit. Why would I reference three other fantastic dissonant bands in this review? Easy: the FFO section on this page is right on point, as Rejoice! has delivered an EP compilation here that captures the sound of those bands without being derivative. Contender for extreme metal EP of the year right here! Favorite track: The Circle is Open to All. Ascend and Rejoice!.

about

Seemingly out of nowhere, R!TLHC appeared on the unsuspecting scene in 2020 and dropped a debut EP with the impact of a grand piano falling from the sky.

With influences ranging from dissonant Death Metal to unorthodox Black Metal, the EP showed such seasoned nuance, it was hard to fathom that this was a new project.

Now, two years later, Rejoice! The Light Has Come are back with yet another untitled EP, and it only cements the band's reputation as a true underground trailblazer.

The continuous contribution of Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice) on bass and mixing duties certainly adds to the quality on display here, but don't let the name dropping distract you from the big picture:

With their new EP, R!TLHC have refined their formula to an impressive degree and if you like your extreme Metal as dynamic and experimental as you like it grim and intense, don't miss out on this release!

For fans of: Zhrine, Plebeian Grandstand, Gorguts
