Deformity Adrift sits squarely in the Goldilocks Zone of highly listenable dissonance. This isn’t groundbreaking material, and it feels a bit truncated at only thirty-two minutes, but the suffocating atmosphere, skillful execution, flawless production, and superb vocals give it a high-quality edge that’s tough to beat. In short, an album that’s likely to make a lot of year-end lists, mine included!
