David Fischer Your Laughter is an Echo in my Head is unlistenable... if you do not own good headphones. Or rather: you will miss a great deal of the experience. Sovereign of Hosts is the greatest (and most abrasive) start to an album I have heard in a long time (seriously, it's as brutal as being strangled with your own spine), and the spellbinding beauty following up is just as good. This is brilliant - pushing the envelope, playing with and testing your musical expectations. I cannot recommend this enough! Favorite track: Sovereign of Hosts.

From the depths of hell (and inner TDW circles) comes Beryllium, an anonymous Dark Ambient / Drone / Black Metal mindfuck of astonishing proportions.

Harsh and distant blast nightmares morph into synth dreamscapes, with detours through almost folk-ish clean guitar sections and heavily pumping percussion.

In other words, the line between chaotic horror and spellbinding beauty is so thin, it blurs almost constantly. And therein lies the transcendent allure of 'Your Laughter is an Echo in my Head'.

In order to fully grasp this release, you have to experience it in all its ambivalence. So don't let the harshness of the opener deter you! It will all make sense if you just give in...
